The hotel is located in a nice/safe area. The staff was 100% attentive, 100% nice. The hotel itself is a quiet, Sophisticated building. The only two things I wished the hotel had was a gym and a lobby/lounge area for the guests to hangout.

El Zarzo staff is the greatest part of the hotel. Extremely attentive, friendly, and informative. Rooftop bar was the highlight for us great drinks and vibes. Down side rooms are smaller then other rooms you can find for this price and the bed was on the firm side. Also while we were there(8/23/25) they are working on expanding so they had construction going on and they like to start at 7am and if your a light sleeper you can hear music/ traffic all night till 3am.

Great stay. A bit noisy in the morning because of some construction next door but no too bad. Close to everything. Amazing location. Amazing roof top bar. I would highly recommend.

Prime location, top-notch service, and a rooftop bar that could easily become your second home. The staff at the hotel and upstairs were walking encyclopedias of food, drinks, and local tips. Now, about the neighborhood… let’s just say it’s alive. If you’re a light sleeper like me, you’ll hear the city’s heartbeat all night long. At the end of my stay, I noticed earplugs on the table — mystery solved. Next time, hand those out at check-in and watch your guest satisfaction soar. Noise drama aside, the stay was a hit from start to finish.

Beautiful rooftop and super service

The hotel was beautiful, breakfast on the rooftop was very nice (get the Calentao) and drinks were nice too upstairs. Staff was super helpful.

First of all you will be very impressed with the staff, all were very courteous and helpful. The front desk will help with all local arrangements. In my opinion their Restaurant 33 has the best food in Medellin. The rooftop bar is very pleasant and they make great drinks, the New York Sour was our favorite. The rooms are comfortable, the beds are big and very comfortable, fantastic shower. The only negative for us was the size of the closet. The neighborhood is safe, walkable with many, many restaurants and clubs and shops. We highly recommend El Zarzo.

The hotel is lovely, the rooftop and room was outstanding. The only downfall is the food at the restaurant, by far the worst food I ate in Colombia. I have to mushroom risotto, it was terrible.. and my friend had. The steak which was also terrible. The bread and butter was delicious. The food at breakfast on the roofdeck was delish. The chef should be in the restaurant

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at! Great location, beautiful ambience, clean and well equipped rooms, and AMAZING staff. From the moment we checked in every employee was so kind and helpful. The rooftop terrace is gorgeous and the drinks were incredible! I would highly recommend this hotel :)
