The staff is highly motivated to put an old property to its best use. The facility needs work. My room had visible mold in a number of places. The in room air conditioner was very loud.

The rooms were clean. The property was quiet, beds were comfortable and close to all attractions. Couldn’t beat the price. Outdated and pool was broken but again. Couldn’t beat the price.

Nice enough for an affordable stay right near the village. The property is due for some updates but the staff was helpful. The pool was closed and the vending machines were all empty. I found my room to be clean and I enjoy being able to control the temperature.

For the price, this place is just fine. You can walk to Old Mystic Village where there are shopping, dining and entertainment options (walking distance from the aquarium). The hotel is dingy and obviously old but it is clean. Even though the fan in the bathroom did not work there was zero sign of mold and no mildew smells. The sheets were clean and the beds were comfortable for a 2 night stay. The hotel staff was polite. It was nice the room had a mini fridge and a microwave.

Our last-min trip led to a good one!

We were glad to find the place to stay over the July 4th weekend when we decided on the last-minute trip. Even though we didn't expect much as it was inexpensive and we didn't know the area, the hotel's location was perfect for all activities. The room was well equipped for anything needed, including a coffee machine and hairdryer. The hotel can improve its entrance sign as it looked like the business was closed when we drove in.

Hotel Transylvania

I rarely leave a review. This place was as bad as it gets. I booked a room last minute, i didnt check the reviews. We pulled in, i thougbt it was an abandoned building. The parking lot was empty, graffetti on the side of the building. (Im always an optimist). I went inside, it smelled musty, dusty and old. If it was Halloween and we wanted the spooky feel. This would have been perfect. We checked in, and hauled our laugage to the second floor.(no elevator) We got to the room, eeek mustard yellow old, dingy blankets, the toilset was used and not flushed. I got out of there quick as a whipp. To sum it up, dirty, dingy, grungy. It your looking for a spooky sleep with a knife kinda night. Book it!
