"What a sad state of affairs. Walking into my room felt like I’d just arrived at the final level of despair. It’s honestly impressive how aggressively depressing the place was. The sight of the bed, with its pathetic flat cushions and sunken mattress, made me question whether I’d committed some unspeakable crime and had suddenly snapped out of a denial induced psychosis to realise I’d been thrown into a prison cell for the rest of my days. The TV didn’t work and the supposed wifi wouldn’t connect. I’m pretty annoyed that hotels.com would allow them to list this place on their site as the pictures are extremely misleading, unless they were taken sometime in the mid-90s before the owners completely gave up on caring about their business. Just to add, I took the hit on what I paid (£80) and booked in the hotel across the road. That’s how bad it is. Shame on hotels.com for allowing memebrds of their platform to pay £80 a night to stay here!! "
