Smokey Mountains vacation

Very nice chalet located in the mountains with plenty of sightings of black bears. Pools were all a short drive away and all very nice. Also, conveniently located near downtown Gatlinburg. I would definitely stay here again.

Our favorite!

We love this house. This is our 3rd time staying here and my daughters love it. The host is extremely helpful and responsive. Our driveway upon arrival was the only clean driveway she saw while driving.

Wonderful time with family

Beautiful views, very clean house, great communication with owner when needed. Everything we needed in the kitchen. Steep drive up so be prepared for that. We were there for snow and it was beautiful.

Great family friendly cabin. Was perfect for our family of 4 but could have accommodated more people comfortably. Cabin is close to all the activities we wanted to do and we saw bears every single day!

Quiet, spacious, good location for the park.

As title suggests, overall it was a positive experience and we had a decent stay.Excellent location to access the National Park as you don’t have to deal with downtown Gatlinburg. Quiet neighborhood so we slept peacefully. There was plenty of space for the family in all aspects.The listing description is accurate, however, I’m not sure how long ago the refresh happened, but the place needs more love…again.

Sisters trip to Gatlinburg!

My 3 sisters and I meet everyone year for a weekend trip. We chose Gatlinburg and the Honey bear Chalet for this year's trip. The Honey Bear was perfect for us. Very comfortable beds. A great kitchen. And a beautiful porch with a beautiful mountain view. We had a couple of bear visitors two mornings. We loved watching them meander down the mountain. The location of the cabin was perfect! 10 minutes from the Grest Smoky Mountains and 5 minutes from Gatlinburg! We spent a lot of time hiking in the park and then enjoyed delicious dinners in town.I highly recommend the Honey Bear cabin!

Beautiful view... Bears and all!

The house is beautiful inside and out. Our girls vacation was fun. The view is great from the front porch. We even had a breakfast guest our 2nd morning. A juvenile bear walked the railing. Was amazing.

2021 Mountain Vacation

It was amazing! It was very clean, had everything you needed and more. It was close enough to down town and the neighborhood was very quiet. We will definitely be back!

Close to downtown

Nice clean cabin, close to downtown Gatlinburg. Lots of bears in the area. Driveway was a little steep which made it challenging to park.. emergency brake kept engaging when trying to reverse up the hill. Each room had king size beds, which was great..could use a mattress topper to make a little softer. All in all…we had a great stay.

The property was great. Porch and hot tub were a hit. Place was clean, cozy and comfortable. Good to knows, It was not walking distance to town. If your car doesn’t do well up hills it will be challenging getting up the mountain.

Family holiday

We spent Christmas in the Smokey's and Honey Bear Chalet was perfect for our needs. It was a great space for the four of us with all the accoutrements (fireplace, hot-tub, pool table, cathedral ceiling, views of Mt. Leconte, wifi, TVs) and necessities (two baths, three bedrooms, full kitchen) that we "needed". Close enough to the trails so that we spent only 15-30 minutes getting to parking at trail-head. The property is well maintained and although it is in a densely built area, the woods around give some sense of being "in nature", and the area was very quiet making for great winter sleeping-in. We enjoyed walking the neighborhood and commenting on architectural variation.

Adult family vacation

Visited with my adult children and house worked well for us. Having three rooms all with king size beds is great. As others have commented the living room is too dark and really needs some better lighting. Also wished there had been some more comfortable seating on the deck. Metal chairs are practical but not comfortable for sitting in to relax. Finally wish there had been some more supplies. We were told that there was just starter supplies so should have known but did have to run out and buy toilet paper, garbage bags, and dish soap.

Great Cabin

We enjoyed our time at the cabin. Everything was clean and we had no issues during our stay. We saw several bears each day which was pretty neat. They didn’t pay much attention to us and just went along on their way. Please lock your doors while unloading the car upon arrival. My brother did not lock his car while unloading and one opened the door and got inside within 2 min of being there. It took a bag of chips and ran off. We heard the neighbors yelling at one in their car was well. If you lock your doors you shouldn’t have any problems. The roads to the cabin are a little steep but slow and steady will get you there. The view of the mountains from the deck is great. Cabin location is great to downtown. Pool was also great for the little ones. We would stay again.

Chalet gatlingburg

Great stay, Everything looked clean and maintained.The only reason I gave it a 4 star it's due to some small improvements. For example, there is a pool table and we had to go buy the cue tips, they were old and used so of course the pool sticks didnt work properly. The lighting at the chalet was too dimmed and although the living area had a swicht for the diammable lamp to work it Either did not work or didn't had the right bulbs. We didn't dare to seat on the table that was in the living area as one of the seats had a leg that was about to break so we choose to always eat in the kitchen. Small things that just need a bit maintenance other than that it is a small cozy chalet, I'm not sure why the living area looked bigger in pictures but it was smaller than expected however, My family and I had a great time.
