Well appointed and clean cabin with stunning views of mountains

The views from the property are spectacular and the location is great. We were able to explore so much of the North Georgia (and NC) Mountains from this base camp. The kids enjoyed the hot tub nightly (on the lower porch) while my wife and I enjoyed the cool mountain breezes and amazing views from the screened upper porch. Lots of great family memories made!

Valentine getaway

My wife and I had a wonderful stay. The house was very clean and the owners were very accommodating. Very private setting with great views. Added bonus, being able to park about 15 feet from the front door with only three steps up to the porch. Wonderful when bringing in your luggage or groceries. We would definitely recommend this property to others. Pictures really do not capture how awesome the views are from the deck and the location is very convenient. Overall, great property with excellent hosts. Keep up the good work Greene family.

Fantastic Time!

Great location and amazing views of Brasstown Bald. We enjoyed all the mountain retreat had to offer and toured the area to its fullest. Wonderful hosts and we hope to return to the exact location in the summer or fall.

The perfect getaway!

This is our second time to stay here and it will not be our last! The view from the front deck is absolutely stunning! Such a beautiful area with some great places to visit! But this property is so amazing that it’s hard not to just stay in, and enjoy the view while soaking in the hot tub!

What A View

A beautiful place, we enjoyed coffee each morning on the screened porch, taking in the breathtaking view. The house was sparkling clean, with a well stocked kitchen. The beds comfortable. The host were very easy to communicate with. The location was great for going hiking and checking out the nearby waterfalls and nearby breweries. Made for a perfect relaxing get-a-way.

We throughly enjoyed our stay! The cabin was beautiful! The view was breathtaking!

We loved everything about this weekend! The weather we had was amazing. The day we arrived, we had snow!! The cabin was perfect! We have stayed in several VRBOs and this one is my favorite! The view, cookware, beds, information about the cabin, hot tub, toilet paper (best one that we have ever had!!) and they even had gifts for us! We had the best time!

Outstanding! Cozy cabin that provides the perfect getaway.

The view was outstanding! Brasstown Bald was beautifully centered in the panoramic view from both decks. The leaves were very late this year and were just starting to change — I'm sure the color is spectacular. The cabin was clean, cozy and quiet. The location was convenient to most of the cities and vineyards we frequented and just a stone's throw from Hiawassee. Looking forward to our return visit...thanks Melanie and Jim!

Beautiful Mountain Retreat

Our stay at this beautiful property far exceeded our expectations. Not only did we find the Georgia mnts. full of wonderful hikes, waterfalls, and vistas, but we found it hard to leave this cozy home with its spectacular view and great amenities. The owners provided excellent suggestions for hikes, drives, restaurants and more. They take excellent care of their home and pay attention to details that made our stay very comfortable. We're already planning for the next time we can come back!

2 family trip

This is an absolutely beautiful property that I will definitely be reserving again in the future. Very spacious and room for everyone to have their own space. Located close to Helen, Ga as well as Brasstown Bald and many other local attractions. The driveway is a little intimidating but just follow Melanie's instructions and your good to go. Melanie was amazing, going above and beyond to make sure our stay was amazing and that we had everything we needed!

Mountain Escape

The views from this mountain top home were amazing. The communications with the Owners was timely, accurate and professional. The home was very clean throughout with a well stocked kitchen. The owner’s book offered clear and accurate directions on operation of each television. The directions to the home were detailed and complete. Privacy is an accurate description of the location and it is very quiet and relaxing. I imagine that the fall colors would be beautiful!

Spectacular Property

Do not hesitate to book this stunning home! It is exactly as described with the most beautiful Mountain views. The house is so charming and comfortable. We didn’t want to leave! The hosts are obviously very experienced. The home was stocked with everything we needed plus a few nice surprises. We loved looking at the mountains from the private deck hot tub. And having a cozy fire at night. It is very close to shops and restaurants. And the lake is just a short drive away. The location couldn’t be better. I would give this stay more than five stars if I could. We can’t wait to return.

25th Anniversary Vacation

My husband and I chose this property because of the description and photos, and it did not disappoint! The home is beautiful, and the view from the porch is incredible. We wanted a secluded, private place to enjoy our 25th anniversary. This home was perfect for that. No neighbors to be seen anywhere, and the location is perfect also. We spent the days exploring and hiking, and then enjoyed the hot tub in the evenings for our sore muscles! The house has everything you could need. We cooked most of our meals there. The kitchen was extremely well stocked. We definitely give this property 5 stars all around. It was just what we needed to celebrate 25 years!

Month Stay

This is the second year that we have stayed at this property the home is nice and comfortable. The owners are very accommodating and responsive to any questions or issues that may arise. They have made the home comfortable with a well stocked kitchen, comfortable bedrooms and a great screened in porch to sit and enjoy your coffee or sunsets. The driveway does look intimidating but if you follow the owners instructions about going up the driveway there is no problem getting up the driveway. Going down the driveway you do need to swing out a little when making the turn out of the gate especially with larger vehicles like my pickup truck. I would recommend it highly as nice place to stay while visiting the Hiawassee area and would not hesitate to rent the home again next year. Jim and Melanie Greene are great hosts!

It was a fresh, mountain experience, in a beautifully appointed cabin, with amazing views!

My husband, son and his family stayed at the cabin for 6 days. The cabin had been recently renovated and was just beautiful!! Everything was like new, down to the sheets and towels. The décor was tastefully done. We wanted for nothing! The views were million dollar views of the Chattahoochee National Forest. We were there early enough to see the fall color change. We could also see Brasstown Bald and the surrounding peaks. Melanie and Jim could not have been more accommodating! They helped us with every little question we had. We visited Helen, Ga and thoroughly enjoyed it! We will definitely return! I don't know if there are any cabins as spacious and upscale as this one! One negative; if you are uncomfortable with twisty, mountain roads (although well maintained) you may want to look at the roads more closely.

You Must Stay At This Place

First of all, I don’t normally take the time to write reviews but with this house I felt I just had to let others know how great it is. From the very beginning of the rental period and throughout, the host Jim was very helpful, friendly and responded to questions very quickly. The house was immaculate like we were the very first guests who had ever stayed there ever. The kitchen was one of the best equipped kitchens I’ve experienced in a vacation rental and I’ve stayed at a lot of great properties. The view is amazing and the mattress and pillows in the master bedroom were like sleeping on a cloud in Heaven!! I loved the bed and pillows so much that I had to check out the labels before I left to see what kind they were so I could buy the same thing for my own home. We had such a great stay and highly, highly recommend this place! It’s close to town and the best hiking in GA and you get a picture perfect view of Brass Bald Mountain! The hosts even left us goodies like a bottle of wine, chocolates and k cups for the Keurig. Loved it!!!

Mountain Views and relaxation

We had a great stay in this Hiawasee Mountain home. The Owners thought of everything and were very responsive when we contacted them. We arrived to a goodie basket on the kitchen table and a beautiful mountain view on the upper deck. We took pictures every night of the sunsets and it was always different then slept very comfortably on the beds. Each morning we had our coffee out in the screened deck area and watched the clouds rise up through the mountains. The Hot tub also faced the mountain view which was nice in the evening. My son and I bought our motorcycles and they kept dry on the carport so they were always ready to ride the great roads in the area. We were just about 25 minutes from Helen Georgia and explored that awesome place several times and also enjoyed the music and beer at Hiawasee brewery and the delicious catfish at Hawg Wild Barbeque. Jim and Melanie really thought of everything in the kitchen, grill, and otherwise. Televison was very nice when it was raining or just to relax. There were a couple of premium channels already and always something to watch on the highspeed streaming. Tip...every channel is there but you may want to bring your own logon information. We loved it and hope to come back again! Thanks for an awesome 8 days!

Amazing Views!!!!

When the owners told me all we really needed to bring was our clothes , food and drinks they were not kidding. This home was stocked with EVERYTHING you could ever need !!! All the appliances were high end no skimping here!! Including fabulous pots, pans, coffee maker (two!! One was a Keurig the other was a standard coffee pot) toaster, crockpot etc..... The home was so clean (and I’m picky) it is hard to believe it’s a rental it was spotless. . Everything about this property was PRISTINE!!!! If you are looking for a secluded get away this is your place!!! We also spent a day hiking high Shoals Falls which is super close. What a BEAUTIFUL hike in the mountain and the falls are sooo pretty I’m so glad we did it. I’m not going to lie, I thought I was going to have a heart attack on the way back up!! Lol Made me realize how out of shape I am. We also went to Hiawassee‘s brewery we even brought our two dogs and the staff was so nice. (This was my pho’s first time at a restaurant/bar and they did great.) Thank you Jim and Melanie for sharing this great place with us. 😊
