Best place to stay on the island!

We stay at oceans of Amelia every time we visit Fernandina. The location is absolutely perfect. And all of the condos always exceeded our expectations.

Peaceful ocean paradise

Oceans of Amelia 211 is a beautiful peaceful condo right on the beach. We loved the condo and the place was spotless. Everything you need is included. We appreciated the beach towels, chairs and toys. Can’t wait to go back

Great condo!

We loved the condo! It was right on the beach, clean and the perfect size for our family of 4. The only negative is that the parking lot is very tight. You do get a reserved spot, but it can be tricky getting in and out, especially when large vehicles are parked nearby. Overall, we would stay again!

Right on The Beach!

Could not get any closer to the beach! Condo was very clean and stocked with everything you could need. We did have an issue with the ice maker and they came the day we called to fix it and even brought us a bag of ice! The only recommendation I could make to improve this condo is to get new patio furniture. The chairs are uncomfortable and there is not a table if you want to eat outside and the furniture is too low and you have to see the ocean through the deck rails, All in all a great stay!

Heavenly Sunrises

Our stay was very enjoyable and just right for 4 adults. We enjoyed the serenity of this condo’s beautiful location. Destination Amelia is very clean and the amenities are very ample. The kitchen, though not very large, is impressively equipped. The rental has plenty of towels, blankets and beach supplies. Parking garage is a little tricky to maneuver for a larger vehicle but they do offer an alternative off-site parking location that is very, very close by. DVD player was not functional at time of our stay. Overall, we we’re very impressed and would stay there again without hesitation. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Beautiful view and clean

Good: The property has absolutely beautiful views, it is a short walk downstairs to the beach. The room was very clean and felt welcoming. They had beach chairs and towels available for use. The location is fabulous. It is in the middle of everything you would want to see. Bad: People in the condo next to us (212) smoke and we had a hard time sitting out on the porch or leaving the screen opened due to the smell of cigarette smoke. They are also doing construction on the house right behind the condo and we were woken up at 6:00am every morning due to the construction noise.

Reviews for people that wear shower shoes at the Ritz

This property had great reviews online and the pictures lead you to believe the property and fresh and new. The property however is a bit on the older side and you can see that with the floors and the walls. When we first arrived, I was taken aback by what I expected compared to what we arrived to find. The walls were banged up and just made the space feel dirty. The floors were dingy especially in the bathrooms where the grout in high traffic areas was dark. The shower the the primary bedroom was also very small...you hit the walls etc. when you move, extend, or turn. I ended up showering in the hall bathroom with the kids the entire visit. The bedrooms are carpeted and the carpet definitely needs to be replaced/removed. It is very worn, so I insisted that we all wear sandals or socks or something while we were walking around - which means we never achieved that level of comfort that made us feel like we were "at home." The air after showers could get pretty muggy in the rental so that exacerbated the general dinginess of the carpet in the bedrooms. The morning after we arrived, I had settled a little bit - I am a self-diagnosed germaphobe, so it was a rough night. After calming down a bit and getting past my first impressions, I was able to appreciate the excellent views and the proximity to the beach. Please note, the pictures make it seem like you can walk off your back porch to the beach, but you are actually a floor up from sea-level. The only other problem we had was ants. My son dropped a cheerio and by the next day several ants had found it. There was a dead fly in the window as well. We killed a spider as soon as we walked in around the window seal as well. Some of the curtains had black stains on them. Generally speaking, there was an attention to detail with respect to cleanliness that was definitely lacking that I appreciate when I travel. The house was well stocked with kitchen and beach supplies. We cooked a lot while we were there, but we had brought our own beach supplies. That is however I great touch. I would not stay at this property again unless I was guaranteed that a new level of detail was paid to cleanliness. Overall I gave this 4 stars because I know I am very picky. I am sure there are lots of travelers that would have paid zero attention to the things that I notice.

Perfect getaway!

The condo was just as listed and communication was excellent. Location was great. Great food and shopping was a short drive away. It was a short walk to the beach and the beach was so nice and never crowded. Hope we get to come back next summer!

Perfect View and Great Location!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit. Waking up every morning and having coffee while staring at the ocean was pure bliss. Loved the close location to the old town area as well. Lots of shopping and restaurants and history to explore. We really enjoyed the Amelia Island history museum. We would absolutely stay in this unit again. The hosts were very communicative, we had all the information we needed well ahead of our trip. We had one very minor maintenance issue that they resolved within one hour. Would definitely recommend this unit.

Best Beach Condo Ever

We loved everything about our condo. The highlights were the beach access, privacy, location, and comfortable furniture! It was like we had a private beach! Because of where the condo is located, we never had a crowd on the beach. The water was amazing, no shark sightings or jellyfish. We were close to everything we needed. The furniture was comfortable. Both the living room and the bedrooms. We will be back! We didn’t want to leave! I loved Amelia Island. Great restaurants, shopping, and not crowded!

☀️ Perfect Location and Views ☀️

This was our first trip to Amelia Island and definitely will not be our last. This condo was perfect location for what we wanted. It was right on the beach and very close to Fort Clinch which we visited each day for my 10 year to fish and to look for sharks teeth. The condo was exactly how it was described. Very clean, organized, and perfect for our small family of 4. My favorite part was sitting and looking out the big windows watching the sun rise and set. We will be booking with Destination Amelia again very soon. We give this place 5 stars!

Great View!

I so enjoyed staring at the ocean every morning and taking a walk along the beach with my morning coffee. The location was excellent – not only for its beach proximity but also for just being a couple of miles away from the town with its wonderful shops and restaurants. It was also very close to Fort Clinch and the Park, Next time I will have to get a bike and ride around there! The unit itself had all of the practical things you would want for the beach and the kitchen had what we needed as well.
