Nice location units need updating

We had a nice time on our trip but the condo could us an update. The dishwasher didn't work, the table on the balcony tabletop was broken, and the beds were very old and needed new mattresses.

Family vacation

We all had the most amazing time. The condo was beautiful and we had all we needed. The only problem we had was the TV in the living room was confusing. But all in all it was the best vacation we've had in a very long time and would love to come back again in the future.

Perfect location for the family

What a wonderful spot to be in OOB. Clean, bit rooms, balconies and the beach! Park your car and never look back for a week. This place is so central to all that’s happening. It was nice to be able to run up to the condo when we needed something. The beach is packed but clean and the staff were very helpful especially Ryan. Thank you Maine! Love it.

Fantastic place to have fun

Just a word to say that we really appreciated our weekend at your condo in Old Orchard. The apartment is very comfortable and “user friendly”. The weather was very nice, our grandchildren (4 & 6) really enjoyed playing on the beach and discovering the “arcades” which were on their “opening weekend.” We will keep your contact information in the hope of visiting again and will not hesitate to recommend your place to our friends. We LOVE OOB

My entire family and I had a wonderful time at this property… It is prime location especially for young kids (3 and 2 years old and 10 month infant) Close to the beach is close to the rides! We’re able to cook in and eat out at the local restaurants on the beach. The is beautifully decorated beach/coastal. I condo has three bedrooms which was great… However there is not much room in the smaller two rooms compared to the master. We rented last year as well and we will rent again!

AWESOME!

This owner was nice enough to let us book this condo for my mom's birthday last minute. We LOVED it here - close to the beach, the pier, the great night life, and great food. I loved how modern the place was.. the master shower and massage chair were nice unexpected treats! We got a great deal and to pay that anywhere else in proximity to the beach would put us in an outdated run down motel. This condo is very clean, very spacious, quiet, and in my opinion the pictures don't do it justice - you just have to stay here! The whole family gives this listing two thumbs up (that's 10 total) and hope to stay here again sometime.

Excellent rental we will be back

We have rented my places around the world. Exactly as advertised and as shown in the pictures. The beach is perfect for the kids and the water temp was surprising warm for Maine since the depth of the water is only knee high for a good distance. We loved the location in the heart of everything. The kids eat creeps almost everyday within steps of the grand Vic. Check in and out was done in seconds. The owner has decorated and supplied the unit with quality furniture and upgrades.

Cute place

The unit was clean but getting into building because no one was to be found in office was troublesome. Every night someone was assigned the same parking number we had so our space was always taken. Ryan was pleasant but not always responsive and Mike was unprofessional by playing a prank and saying “this is mike hanging up on you”. Unit is clean and spacious but bed is squeaky. Wet Laundry was left in washer and dryer when we arrived.

"The Best Ocean Front Vacation Rental on Old Orchard Beach"

Our family fully enjoyed our experience at The Grand Victorian. The staff was very attentive and extremely nice. The Grand Victorian's common areas were very clean, on site Spa, Gym, Sauna & Pool was great and our unit was beautiful, modern & clean! The description and pictures of the unit were very accurate. The whole experience was wonderful with ocean views from the balconies with sounds of the crashing waves which made for a very relaxing vacation. This was all made possible by Mark the owner who is a great person and very easy to work with. The unit is wonderful and has every amenity you could possibly need fully equipped kitchen, linens, bath & beach towels, washer & dryer plus more. The vacation and unit could not have been nicer, especially the massage chair & steamed glass shower!! Thank You again Mark, you have one of the best units at the Grand Victorian. Can't wait to be back next year!! Stayed August 13-20, 2011, travelled with family

Never Again !!!!!

To begin, when we arrived we had no idea as to where to get our keys and info on the condo. The office was locked but we eventually got a call back and were able to meet someone there. When we entered the condo we immediately were disappointed. The condo was dirty, the beds were barely made, there were old and worn out mix matched towels in the bathrooms and only one towel per person and one wash cloth. Some of the towels in the bathroom were actually dish towels!! The screen door to the balcony was ripped apart and could not be used (we called but no maintenance person came as promised). After that we didn't even bother to call or complain about the rest! The condo smelled so bad like fish. We discovered that the fish smell was coming from the garbage disposal and we gagged cleaning that out !!!! The drawers in the kitchen were filthy. The bedrooms were not cleaned before we came; we had to clean out candy wrappers etc from around the beds that were right against the wall. The shower in the master bedroom leaked everywhere and we noticed that someone else complained about that with no reply from maintenance either. The floor and the carpet in the master bathroom was filthy. In the second bathroom shower, the faucet to part of the shower fell off in our hand !! The balcony furniture was beat up and falling apart and the balcony was filthy along with a leaking gutter over our heads. We have rented all over the US and this was the worst. So disappointed !! Loved the little town of Old Orchard beach though and would love to come back. Never to this place though. Never again !!!!!

Fun On The Boardwalk

If you want to stay in the middle of all that Old Orchard Beach has to offer - this is the place to be! We adored being able to hear the trains go by - the sound of the ocean and the seagulls and the crowds enjoying the amusement park rides in the evening. But when it was time to go to sleep we closed the doors and windows and enjoyed the central air for a sleepful night. Check in is at 3pm and check out is promptly at 10am. You'll find an open living space with a kitchen/living room/dining room combo - three bedrooms, two bathrooms and two extremely cool showers. TV's are in ever room but we loved the kitchen MOST of all! Very spacious with tons of countertops, an electric stove, micro and an icemaker/water dispenser in the beautiful fridge. If you want to wake up in the AM and sit on the balcony to the sound of the ocean and a great cup of coffee, book this unit right here right now. We were on the top floor of this luxury condo and enjoyed all the extras the Grand Vic had including a gym and a pool and an amazing parking spot. We walked to the beach, the pier and all around town - knowing that a trip "home" was a few minutes away because we were in the center of town. One last thing - we found plenty of restaurants in Old Orchard Beach - looking for a good spot - visit JJ's right next to the train tracks, surf six with the best view and right next door to the condo - the best oysters were at hurricanes on the pier. Yummo! Down the street is Hoss and Mary's and they are doing a killer business with interesting sandwiches and burgers! Outside of OOB we went to Saco and The Run of the Mill (best ribs ever!) also Luis's Arepas are not to be missed especially if you are gluten free like me. We were told to go to Jumping Jacks for oysters in Old Orchard but never made it there. :( Camp Ellis has the BEST kayak rental ever - have "Weedy" take you up the Saco river and drop your kayaks for an easy paddle with the tide back to Bare Knee Point Rentals. This was a great location - minutes from Portland to the north and Kennebunkport to the south. Also don't miss the Maine Foodie Tour in Kennebunkport or in Portland. A great fun time. As you can tell we had a great time, this condo was centrally located, and not one single complaint from this family of three. We've rented many homes on vrbo and Marc this was one of the nicest places we have ever been. Thanks Marc for the use of your home!

Sisters vacation

Loved our stay. Gorgeous rooms. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Not a fan of the master shower. Too small and complicated and a few issues with non-functioning lights, but did not disrupt our stay in any way. So convenient to the beach and surrounding activities. Will definitely recommend.

Cool June in Old Orchard

We loved the location, on the beach and yet in the middle of this lovely tourist town that was "teen heaven" for our two grandchildren. A cool town with cool temperatures, never getting to 80 degrees. We'll wait until August - September before coming .again. Some complaints: Not enough space to hang clothes, more hooks are needed on the walls and behind doors; our MBR bed was poor; we ran out of hot water once during a shower; TV's were confusing. Overall Great Stay!

We enjoyed everything about our stay. Weather was great. People and staff were great. We wanted a box fan so the staff looked all over for one to no avail. So they went to the store and bought one and sent it to our room. Need I say more? Thanks so much for a wonderful stay and memories!

Sistas Get A Way

Unit needed more directions to master bedroom, toilet didn’t flush properly. Back bathroom had mold in shower. Floors needed to be cleaned better. Could use little tables on balcony. There were no blankets in unit. Lighting in living room needed as overhead light to bright. Overall the unit was decorated lovely and beds comfortable.
