"We were apprehensive after reading previous reviews, however we were positively surprised. Our family room was large and spacious and the beds very comfortable. The deco is dated but everything was clean, the staff lovely and what a view!! If you want luxury, 5* accommodation, this isn't for you. If you want a comfortable, friendly hotel to stay in while having easy access to the town centre of St Ives, this is it."

"What a super place to stay and a much needed break with teens mid term. The property was easy to find and beautifully clean. Everything had been thought of from a well equipped kitchen to 4 super double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and really comfortable beds. My daughter loved the TV in her room snd the hot tub and we enjoyed the wood burning fire. The owners communicated so well ( although we didn’t need anything) and the proximity to Carbis Bay beach was great. Despite the weather ( October and inevitably windy and rainy) the view did not disappoint and the chairs overlooking the picture window made a morning coffee and afternoon tea all that better. I would highly recommend this property, one of our top stays and we have been to a lot of places! "

"Great location but be prepared for the climb back up the hill from town! The parking involved a bit of shuffling but it was easy enough and superb to have an EV charger. We had the smallest room which doesn’t have a seaview but we knew that before coming and the room was lovely and cosy, with plush carpets, linen and towels. I wasn't sure what it'd be like without a staffed reception but it was easy to get hold of someone if you needed anything."

"Great location and kitchen access was a plus for breakfast options. For the solo budget traveler without a car, there is no luggage storage, so be prepared to time your check in for the exact time with a key code access. if the company gave access to the lounge area only, this would be a plus."

"Nothing was too much trouble, the staff were excellant, super selection of food service was above and beyond, I cant thank the hotel enough. I am a single female traveller,I felt extremly welcome. . "
