"I cannot speak highly enough of our incredible stay at Don Alfonso 1890. We felt as though we were being welcomed home by family. The atmosphere is so tranquil and relaxing, everything embellished tastefully with soft pastels of flowers and lemons and local fauna. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with an in-room coffee maker and each day we would return to our room with a tiered platter of desserts and finger sandwiches - exactly what we needed to tide us over before dinner....

"The view of Sorrento Bay and Naples Bay were simply breathtaking! The staff were very nice and the food was excellent! I would highly recommend to pay the extra and get a Sea View room. The breakfast buffet was incredible!!
While the hotel is about 20 minutes away from Sorrento, they did have a shuttle bus that does a round trip several times a day. I the shuttle doesn’t start until 830am so be mindful of the times of your tours.
The front desk helped us with taxis to/from the Naples...

"The BEST place to stay in Sorrento. My husband and I celebrated part of our Honeymoon in Sorrento and during our time we stayed at Romantic Relais. It was perfection. The rooms are modern, quiet, super clean, and spacious. We woke up every morning to a perfect view of Mount Vesuvius.
The rooms are so great but the best thing about this resort is Antonella and Giuseppe. They are truly the kindest and warmest hosts and they pour their heart and soul into this place. The food at their restaurant...

"We really enjoyed our stay, we stayed in the standard room and it was impeccably clean - it was spotless! I did find the bed quite hard but that is personal preference, also no breakfast but we weren't expecting it anyway but it is mentioned on their website - good bakeries in the area for some pastries and coffee! "Gran opción por qué tienes la vista y el hotel. El personal divino, no se diga en el restaurante. Están para ayudarte, perfecto para personas con movilidad reducida, la comida deliciosa. Creo que en desayunos hay una área de oportunidad en las galletas y dulces, estando en Sorrento valdría la pena panes de panaderías locales y no algo comercial. El tema del transporte de gran ayuda. "Beautiful room with mezzanine
Everything was great. Host very communication and helpfull.
We were 3 and was great
Well located in the pedestrian area..but parking is 5 min walk (20-35 euro/day)
Good to know:the stairs to go to the room are very steep and narrow.. in the room too...so need to be in shape...
Shared kitchen space to make coffee downstairs...(no fridge in rooms)

"Everything on the property was very beautiful. Beginning with the hospitality of the owners to the friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms were very pleasant with a charm. "Had a short stay (2 days). Very clean and nice. They have just about everything you might need like microwave, fridge, iron + ironing board. I wish they also provided shampoo/hair conditioner, not just body soap. Overall, very very good for the price. About an 8 minute walk from the center (THOUGH IT’S STEEP UPHILL), very convenient. Pool area was nice as well, property owner is kind and helpful"

"Disponibilissimo e gentile il personale. Disponibile ampio spazio all'esterno con gazebo e sdraiette. Bagno piccolo ma con tutto quello che serve, compreso un box doccia con tantissima acqua. "Clean, airy room with good bathroom; also small refrigerator and coffee making facilities - all I needed for a comfortable stay.
The property is more like a 15 minute walk from the station and the latter half uphill, partly along a narrow road with no pavement which wasn't much fun with a suitcase after dark but otherwise fine."
