"Our room had an amazing view, was very comfortable and clean. Staff was helpful and professional. Breakfast croisants were a nice touch!"

"Room spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were welcoming and friendly. We had an evening meal in the restaurant which was very tasty. Breakfast was a little disappointing, only things on offer were cooked breakfasts, no offer of any cereal, pastries, yoghurts or fruit. Toilets in the main part of the hotel/restaurant area weren’t the cleanest and in a little bit of disrepair. Overall a lovely stay though, nice hotel in a great location."

"Second time staying here but first time having breakfast, which, apart from coinciding with a coach party, was very good. Arrived around 2am after a late flight and check in was easy. Very comfortable room, and good shower in the morning. Re-booked for a visit to family later this month. Can’t fault this hotel. "

"Beautiful hotel with a great bar and restaurant space. Love the old charm. I could easily envision this as a place great for weddings and other events!"

"We stayed here for a few days while in Edinburgh and loved it! It was clean, the staff was super friendly, and there was a nice big common area on the main floor by the bar. The hotel is also a short walk from the rail station which made it super easy and convenient to get around Edinburgh easily!"

"Amazing, small but well maintained Victorian building/lodge in a pleasant area, 10/15min drive from the city. Lots of buses to get in and out of the city in front of the lodge & reasonably cheap Uber/taxi ride. Friendly and helpful staff but be aware there’s no lift being an old building, but extremely lovely and helpful staff to help you with the luggage, just ask.. We stayed at the very top (so not suitable if you’re tall), well designed, clean, great fluffy linen/bed to come to, from all days...
