Location was ideal to escape the hustle and dust of main town. Also right next to ancient temples with fabulous view. Top breakfast spacious rooms big comfy bed excellent friendly helpful staff. Woild love to stay again.

From Bagan, go watch the balloons take off at sunrise! It’s beautiful! Be sure to tell your driver to take you to see the balloons in flight, not to watch the balloons take off - there is a big difference.

Nyaung-U is and feels like a small town. It is an excellent base to visit the many pagodas of Bagan. The balloon ride, while expensive, was a superb experience.
