Kalimpong is a small hill town nestled in the Himalayas. Its less touristy thus calm and offers long walks, treks, meditation spots, exploring local market, nice places to eat and drink and above all happy people.

This picture is taken from the top floor room of Alaknanda Resort run by a friendly Mrs Subba. A nice place to stay.

Colourful strips of clothes hangs in the garden on the mountain slope on the backdrop of jungle... Each strip of cloth is believed by the locals to be in memory of their late relatives and family members

Prayer flags flutter with the wind and spread good prayers across the lands where the breeze carries them. So I was told when I was in Kalimpong.
