Value for money. Good location - 5min away from SGS Ashram. Adjacent to ATM. Opposite to a fruit shop. 2min away from Benne Dosa restaurant which serves great tiffins. Friendly staff. Neat and clean rooms and bathrooms.

Lalitha Mahal is a palace built in 1921 at the orders of His Highness Krishnaraja Wodeyar IV, the Maharaja of Mysore for the exclusive stay of the then Viceroy of India. It was converted into a heritage hotel in 1974. The ticket is cheap and worth a visit. There is a cafe by the lobby where you can enjoy tea or cafe served in silver teapots. Another highlight is the gorgeous backyard.

Not much to see in Mysore for tourists other than the two palaces. One of the palace, Jagan Mohan Palace was closed for repairs/renovations and we weren't aware of that. There. were no notification about this in the palace web site either.
