"This was a great last minute find for us after our vacation rental cancelled the morning of our trip. The hotel was cute and clean and the staff, available 24-7, were gentle and nice. When we asked about the possibility of switching to a different room, since ours was very small, they let us go look at the available alternative. We ultimately decided to keep our room and make the best of it. We had already settled in and by then it felt like ours. The view from our window was looking down to a cute street Rue d'Austerlitz and the main street Rue de Lyon. The bathroom only had a glass half panel and no curtain, but the bathtub was huge and made for a great relaxing bubble bath experience. The room and bedding were very clean. We had tv and wifi without issues. The elevator was cute and tiny, but there were stairs, and since it's Paris, well, what's another 5 flights? Also, they were a bit stingy with the bath towels. I don't think we got the additional towels we requested, but not a deal breaker at all. It actually ended up being a great location, close Gare de Lyon, several metro stops, walking distance to Place de la Bastille, and restaurants including L'Étincelle, which was open late thankfully, and the service like most we experienced was excellent. Just below us was La Parisienne boulangerie. We stopped there every morning for coffee and croissants and other pastries. We also had baguette sandwiches there for lunch one day. Overall I would recommend 9Hotel Bastille-Lyon."

"The use of metro and other public transportation systems is very convenient and easy. The area also has a lot of dining options. Most of the people are tourists so language is not a problem as long as you know English. Only the breakfast was not that good as it was the same options of food every day. Sometimes at night it felt hot. All other aspects were extremely excellent."

"Staff was professional and offered good suggestions for transportation and visitor attractions. Free breakfast and location near 2 train stations that were not more than a 10 minute walking distance away was a plus. Room was comfortable with good amenities such as a safe, refrigerator and coffee pot. Suggestion, don't select the first budget category for a room, but upgrade at least to next category. Before i upgraded, i got there and the room had no closet, dresser drawers, or shelfing to place clothes in. Room was excessively small and ceiling had slants like i had been placed in a attic. No place to put clothes. I had to video tape to show them. However, the issue was rectified with an upgraded room the next day that had a closet etc."

"This hotel was a really great stay. Every staff member that I interacted with was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was outstanding, and I loved that there was a water filter machine directly in the lobby when you first get in. The beds were comfortable, and the shower had plenty of hot water and water pressure. You could tell that there was a bit of wear and tear on the room, but that didn't detract from the overall comfort or style of them. Definitely worth the price!"

"This is the second time we stayed in this property and exceeded our expectations. The children liked the table tennis area where they can play while unwinding from a hectic day. The area is very accessible and quiet and the staff are amazing and very accommodating. The location is excellent for commute and there are plenty of places to eat! One of our family’s favorite destinations so far!"
