"If logistics matters to you then this is the best location to be in, bar none. However it is basic and loud till 4am and not sure if the air con works or was just turned off. You do have a popular bar at street level only seconds from your room"

"Beds & pillows were comfy. Hotel was quiet. Check in desk stayed open until midnight when I arrived and was very kind on the phone and in person... even at midnight! Upper front rooms have balcony and slight view of ocean. Toilet was leaking, hotel is a little old, but the property is kept up very nicely. Five-minute walk to village & beach. Amazing hotel for the price of $44! Didn't use shower or pool and didn't eat breakfast--only stayed one night. Hotel is a 1-1/2 hour drive from HER airport...

"The property owner allowed us to check in early, he was very friendly and helpful. The property is close to the beach, there are many restaurants close by and there is supermarket as well. The rooms were cleaned every 2nd day and all the staff was great. The only small problem we had was with the wifi . but generally this was a great apartment and amazing holiday"

"This is a basic hotel/apartment setup that meets most peoples needs. Slightly confusing the number of places called Ilios but if you check the map carefully you’ll be fine. Bring toiletries as none are provided and a blanket if you don’t like sleeping under a wafer thin sheet. Other than that this place is exactly as the pictures show it. "As it was out of season, we stayed in an apartment which they use before the main season begins. This was in the main street central to all amenities, although up two lots of winding stairs, so may be difficult for some.. It was very comfortable and quiet. good wifi, very clean. We would use it again next time we visit. "

"The shower head has some kind of deposit build up. It didn't really affect water pressure, but it is sightly. That could probably be fixed by soaking it in vinegar and baking soda. Also some kind of "do not disturb" system would be great! I don't want to be woken up by cleaning after a night of partying."

"The manager, Akins, went out of his way to go to buy hand soap for the room when we asked for some. Breakfast was included which we hadn’t known. Pool area is large and pretty. Walking distance to restaurants, shopping, beach. We dined for 3 nights at Knossos Taverna nearby. Owners were very friendly, cousins to manager of Golden Bay. Many menu options, recommend eating there. "
