"The first to say is that Midgard Base Camp does not feel like the stereotypical hostel that one imagines. This starts with the lobby area that has a fun and cozy setup and the restaurant and bar area. Also, the room options are more than just a shared room with bunk beds and community bathrooms. "Internal is neat and moden. Alternative phone number and emails are posted and there is a working landlines phone in the entrance area, no need to worry not getting the room code . But it would be nice to get the room access code one day in advance. I got mt room code emails around 12pm of arrival day."

"What’s not to like about this place. The owners and staff were all so friendly and helpful. Such a beautiful place and so welcoming. Breakfast which is included was wonderful! Definitely would stay there again! "

"Overall a great , clean, spacious property. Room was clean and bright, comfortable beds. Dining and kitchen area is very spacious and spotless. The only thing we didn’t like much was the bathroom situation, two showers in one bathroom so if one person is using shower, you have to wait even though there is another shower in there. It’s also a bit tricky to find the house at night so definitely keep that in mind if you will be arriving late. "

"The hotel is a bit far , close to national park. But the kitchen has everything. We got groceries on the way to the hotel and had the best cooking experience in our 10 days trip of Iceland. The communal bathroom is fine. Toilet paper was not restocked in time but you can ask. A relaxing place. Give us a feeling of belonging to the community . Nice stay anyway."

"Room was a bit small, hard to turn around in. I wish the bathrooms had towels for hand drying, I could never remember to bring mine for that. I didn't like that the reception area was separate from the guesthouse and we had to drive to it. Staff was great. Breakfast was excellent and I'm happy it was included. Everything was very clean."
