"Reluctant to write a negative review but, sadly, this motel merits a poor rating. A kind description would be rustic, an honest appraisal would be shoddy and poorly maintained. The room smelt musty, there was mould around cracked tiles in the bathroom, the windows had that hazy look of ingrained dust and grime, the bedroom carpet was ancient & stained and the fabric on the corners of the bed was ripped. "We had a 2 room suite complete with full kitchen, plates, pots and pans, coffee pot, microwave and hot burners, view of the swimming pool and for a great price. Early check in after some minimal time spent finding us a 1st floor room, due to no elevator, but all in all very accommodating and friendly. We had to walk a few blocks to find an open restaurant but we were right up the hill from the train station. The tiny tourist train took us through the old Town and up to the citadel and a small but fine museum we really enjoyed. The tourist information Center was up by the museum also. The hotel pool wasn't opened yet for the season but green lawn and picnic tables were nice. Only a little student noise at night but I think it was spring break. Nice garden cat! Very helpful staff, they gave me cakevto eat while waiting for room and help with our luggage. Great bargain and very friendly staff."
