"Close to the ferry port so convenient for a ferry. Could be noisy at the front but our room was at the side so ok in off season. Room was very dated but comfortable. Had a balcony which we didn’t use. Parking was at the rear. No food available on the premises, but several local cafes were within a couple of minutes walk. (Gregory’s was excellent for coffee, fresh orange juice, pastries and rolls etc.)"

"I don't mind that the facility was ancient and repainted over and over. At least it was clean. I do mind that my room door, closed from the outside sometimes locked and sometimes didn't. A carefree individual may not have noticed. I mind that when I asked the front desk about buses to the local sites, I was provided directions on how to walk to the city's free information booth. "The hotel is a very cosy rustic style hotel in a calm traditional village. The friendly staff go out of their way to make your stay enjoyable. Amazing open fire to sit around in the evening over a drink. Highly recommended."

"Hotel clean observing Covid rules. So close to Ferry terminal that you can see the red vertical ‘Hotel Oscar’ sign from the deck of the ferry! Car park off the road is clearly marked by signs. "
