Staff provided us with a portable cooling fan but that only brought the temperature down to 27° Other rooms next to ours had fully functioning units and much lower temperatures. "Genova Italy has so many grand buildings that have multiple use. The Olympic Hotel is in one of these buildings, with an old fashioned elevator, high ceilings, marble and ornate carvings. The Hotel is on the 4th floor and the management is very friendly and accommodating. The location is perfect for sightseeing, shopping, restaurants and transportation. Good value in a beautiful Italian city."

"I don’t speak Italian but that didn’t explain why the host was sat in the dark and obviously hadn’t check bookings because she was clearly shocked when I had booked a room. To save money all lights were out and it made navigating the stairs with a heavy bag quite precarious. No breakfast or coffee."
