"Our stay was for a surprise 21st birthday party and we were completely in awe when we arrived. The drive along the private road is stunning breathtaking views of Abergavenny and surrounded by animals. The area has such low light pollution, it was lovely to sit outside at night and see the stars so clearly. The area is private and secure as we had children with us that loved running around outside. The property has so much space that no one felt on top of me another which was lovely as there as 7...

"Had a lovely two night stay at this peaceful location in the heart of Wales. Communication from the owners was excellent. The lodge had everything we needed - we felt at home and welcomed."

"Wagon was in a lovely location on a farm and owner was very nice, once I managed to find the farm , but checking in time or instructions would have been helpful . Bed was comfortable and I did appreciate the tea, sugar and milk provided , but the room itself was quite cold -with one tiny inadequate heater . Bathroom was also very cold and smelled very damp and unfortunately the toilet seat was loose and shooting off to one side. "

So any meals you plan on cooking must be cookable in a saucepan or frying pan. That being said the rose and crown in Michaelchurch."
