"We found the property to be much further from Inverness than we thought. It was difficult to find and my call to the property management company to assist with direction was never returned. It is a nice bungalow with a lovely view in a quiet setting. It was raining and cold, but the radiant heat was set low and it took overnight to be warm enough to be comfortable. "I was doing the NC500 as a solo traveller and stayed here as the last stop. The rooms themselves were clean, but keep in mind that there are no towels or quilt in the room. As someone who was travelling light, this meant using my t shirt as a makeshift quilt. I would’ve actually got some sleep with this setup, if it wasn’t for another guest snoring next door through the night. Of course, this isn’t the bunkhouse’s fault, but just note that the walls are very thin, and earplugs do help a bit but...

"We had an amazing stay at Doric House! Heather gave us such a heartwarming and welcoming reception, it truly made us feel at home right away. The room and bathroom were both spacious, cozy, and very comfortable.
