"Only 11 minutes walk to downtown Ponta Delgada. It was amazing for single travelers or couples. It was clean the staff. It was amazing parking lot right in front of the building for free right next to a great coffee shop."
"My sister and I, two 70+ y/o US travelers found The Rock to be a well located, clean, and quiet guest house. Rebeca was easy to contact and very helpful. Staff member Grace was delightful. Breakfast each day was quite good. We would certainly recommend The Rock to others."
"We stayed for few days, we found the room cozy, comfortable bed. We had good enough breakfast in thethe mornings. The ocean is close with good access to both parts of the island.
For us negative is the air conditioner. Each time after the cleaning the aircon was set to 17 degrees. It’s way too cold in any situation. Also the aircon probably needs deep cleaning, the room smells like mold when it was on. Also a big pound of condensation water was waiting each time we arrived back the room.

"Exceptional clean, safe, well maintained property with full amenities and conveniently located with easy access to highway, grocery, etc
Highly recommended for your stay in Azores!"
"Passal hostel was a great stay. A very close convent walk to the city center and a 15min walk to the mall. Most of all Paulo was amazing, upon my arrival he helped me with everything I needed, while also assisting other guest. If I could give Paulo himself five stars I would. I will be staying there again."
"Room was comfortable but that’s the only positive. Arrived for self check-in within the stipulated time, and the room was not cleaned since the last guests. Customer service is difficult to reach and might be a bot (?). Said to leave immediately because the room was double booked. When I said no, they said that actually they’re just confused with another reservation and they will send a cleaner. Had to wait awhile. Overall very stressful and terrible lack of service - I can’t properly explain...
"A beautiful and welcoming place to stay in Ponta Delgada for our honeymoon! The staff were absolutely the best - so kind and helpful. The morning breakfasts they prepared were delicious and included local fresh food! We couldn’t recommend Hostel Matriz 55 more !"
"Perfect villa for a family stay in the eastern part of Sao Miguel. Perfect outpost for: 1) pico do Vara hike; 2) waterfall trail; 3) praia do fogo; 4) activities in Furnas. The swimming pool in the town is not to count on - the water is cold as ice; the beach is as well non existent. There is a little grocery store opened 09-19 in the town, as well as a couple of cafés. The villa itself is much recommended, 98% out of 100%. -1% for hard pillows, and -1% for the absence of garden furniture (table...
