"Great place to go for peace and quiet, but it’s far from everything- so it depends on what you’re looking for. The staff was really wonderful— incredibly attentive,. My only criticism would be the rooms need a bit of an upgrade. The netting in the room needs to be washed more often. The food was great overall it was a wonderful experience."

"We had an incredible stay at Hostal Mocambo Beach. Everything went really smooth and the staff is very approachable and kind. The rooms are cozy with amazing views on the ocean and you can hear the waves all night long. <The sands felt endless and there was almost no other soul in sight… until we reached the 'lake', actually part of a river sharing a stretch of land with the sea. So cool and inviting that I jumped straight in. I didn’t even care about putting sunscreen on [a thing I’d start regretting that same evening, because one shouldn’t underestimate Colombian sun]. When a kayak was ‘delivered’ to me by the man renting it, I didn’t care about surfing anymore. I left the guys train and I started paddling as far as I could, all eyes and ears along the shores/banks.> #waterlust

"I stayed in a private room which was basic but has everything you need. Views from the room were amazing, its a decent size and bathroom is spacious. The social areas (pool and restaurant) can get a bit busy. But they are very lovely. Its very remote. You stay at the casas you have the optiom to do a waterfall tour, highly recommended."
