"Pretty room, very cozy. Comfy bed, plenty of warm water (not actually hot, but warm enough). Very close to the river, shops, restaurants, and sights to see, and walkable from the train station. Very accommodating about our breakfasts (they arranged a takeaway for us when only late slots were available the first morning, and a before-usual-times the next day when we had a very early train to catch). "Really close to Bootham Bar and everything that is inside the walls. Very warm welcome from friendly and helpful staff and even though my room was over the main road, noise didn't bother me. The room "York Theatre" was very well appointed with everything you'd need. Good size with a large en-suite and a lovely comfy bed. I'd definitely recommend staying here. "

"Excellent location, being 5 minutes walk from the train station, and maybe 10 minutes to the coast. Parking looks like it could be an issue though. The bed was very comfortable and the facilities were great. Plenty of storage and wardrobe should you need them. I'd have slept better if the room actually had curtains though and the bed wasn't facing the window. The shower was great and the little touches like the hot drinks, towels, shower gel, and TV was appreciated. The check in and check out...

"No good so not a B&B. Requested 1st for got 3rd no elevator. Front office very nice said we had a maze to get to room but steps were not that bad. Cleaning was great all things worked. Bed not soft good! Big problem was no food. 😒"

"I would recommend a stay here for the fabulous central location. The room was clean and check in instructions were very clear. Please be aware there was no reception as such, but if needed you can leave your luggage at the bar next door, and there were emergency contacts listed. We didn't need any of this but good to know. There were a couple of bottles of water in the room and some discount vouchers, all of which were an unexpected bonus. The kitchenette was handy if you wanted to make a drink...
