"We stayed in this hotel 5yrs ago when we came for the world rugby cup in 2019. We loved it so much that we came back again. There is nothing changed. Well, it's improved since, can I say. "Near train station which was nice. Is harder to find as it is inside of an overhang off the street. Once you find it its easy to navigate to as near main dinning and shopping area. I went during a slow time of year, but got a little street noise but not much. Good outlet and mini area for luggage. I had 3 bags (size of airplane carry on) and all fit under bed. In summer, the sleeping area might get a little stuffy as no vent, but if you have a mini fan this shouldnt be an issue. Receptionist...

"It is pretty much what you would expect for the low price. The hotel is primarily geared towards long-term stays--the rooms are 1-bed studio apartments. The room/appliances are well-worn, and cleanliness is a bit hit-or-miss. Building construction is not great, so you can hear the cars going by on the road behind all night. There is a shopping center nearby with a few restaurant options, so that was convenient."

"I really loved this retro hotel on top of the mountainside. I had the mysterious looking onsen all to myself several times around 9-10 pm and it was so cool. The view is amazing and the food was very good. Just know that you are really in the countryside and to get to Onomichi it is going to take at least an hour using public transit. "Very cute hostel. The inside had great design and amenities, like extension cords, card games and hairdryers. Checkin was no-contact on a tablet. It had a little trouble finding my name but I guess it wanted my full name (first and last) typed in to find it. We stayed in a western style room with bunk beds. The mattresses are standard futon and very thin but it was fine for two nights. The beds had down comforters and there were extra fleece blankets available in the lobby. The room had its own...
