"Budget hotel so for the cost it is extremely good value. Would have liked a hand towel for the separate sink area, but just two bath towels provided for the wet room style toilet/shower. Continental style breakfast was good for the first two days, but on our last day (a Monday) there was very little on offer. The room was small but adequate and the bed was very comfortable. "From the welcome at reception when I arrived until I left I felt like a valued guest. With no breakfast room all breakfasts are hand delivered to the room and contained so much food I was unable to finish what was on offer. Position of the hotel is great. Although quite a long walk from the station, for those less inclined to stretch their legs there are two tram lines T1 and T3 which will take you from the station to the end of the street the Astrid is on. There are plenty of dining options...

"Soundproofing between the rooms was very poor - conversation, TV and toilet flush easily audible, as well as footsteps and bed noises (!) overhead. Small outside dining area was dominated by smokers and therefore unusable by others at breakfast time. The only place to eat was a squalid pizza restaurant next door. Many guests brought their own pillows but mine were acceptable."

Walk across the nearby bridge for Cabourg and many dining/shopping opportunities. Would’ve like to have had an onsite laundry. Overall clean basic stay and would recommend if you’re not looking for many amenities. Limited front desk hours."
