Wonderful stay in a beautiful, old building! Tons of space with tons of charm! We didn't use the kitchen, but it was well stocked if we had needed to. Short walk to Piazza Garibaldi and all of the wonderful confetti shops! Bed was comfortable and the shower was great. Would definitely stay there again!

I stayed for a week in June. The room was spacious and clean, with WiFi and an AC unit. Breakfast was what Americans might call "continental", with local sweets to go with an espresso, fruit and yogurt. The person who checked me in was very helpful and friendly, was happy to provide some local information, and checked in on me several times during the stay to see if I needed anything. The only downside was that the one-way street outside my window was a bit noisier than I would have...

This place was very modernized and close to many restaurants. This was the cleanest and most modern lodging of our stay in Italy across 2 weeks.

It’s a stone building beautifully restored and decorated! The owners, a young couple, Antonio and Loredana are very nice and accommodating. Maria, the housekeeper is adorable and does a great job! The room is cleaned every day! We will definitely come back and have already recommended Residenzia Ortensia to family and friends.

Interesting decor, with a lovely looking bathroom, but no storage space for any toiletry items. The bed was firm (OK), but the pillows were like rocks. The forced air heating was on intermittently through the night, with very drying effects, even with the temperature set at 20°. The bar across the street where one had to go for breakfast had essentially zero choices for pastries. It also did not open early (on a Monday). This is the most affordable place in L'Aquila area. This pace is AMAZING.

A very nice property. It is not in town, but near an industrial area. The owner is very nice and there was breakfast at a local bakery in town included. She does not speak English - not a problem for us, but should be noted. Also, we were the only guests in the whole place!
