"As an infrequent traveller and senior citizen, I appreciated the very pleasant and generous assistance with phone, navigation and general issues. I enjoyed being in the older traditional artistic area. Shakya House was beautiful, comfortable and secure. I would love to stay again."

"It was nice and comfortable stay, the best part was the proximity to the temple of pashupatinath "

"I thought the staff was great, but this area and location is a bit rough, so you may face some cold nights and lack some creature comforts. I stayed 4 nights, which may have been two too many as there really wasn’t a whole lot to do at night. Still the day hiking was nice and the hotel restaurant was nice. "

"Food was delicious; shuttle available; even came to the airport to return a charger I had forgotten."

"Very freindly and helpful family. They can help with trekking and more. The area is quiet, very local and close to the Airport. "

"Guesthouse très propre, accueil excellent "

"This is the BEST located Hotel to be near the Stupa . They advertise they are 11 steps away from the Stupa ! And they are ! IT IS SPOTLESS and VERY CLEAN . The staff are great. Bhuwan the manager was very helpful. I recommend it "

"Hotel had the worst bed ever. it was old it sagged inthe middle it was very uncomfortable. it is a disgrace to have this type of mattress and bed in this Hotel.the star level in this hotel is not accurate it should be rated two and a half stars. the lobby was very nice the employees were friendly but the bed was a very bad disappointment"
