"Had a wonderful 3 night stay here. Originally a prison, it has been converted into a quirky, comfortable hotel retaining many of the features. The bedrooms were cells, small but well equipped with ensuite bathrooms. The position is slightly outside the centre of Stockholm but all the better. Situated on a lovely peaceful island within walking distance to Gamla Stan and the museums. The breakfast is amazing with an enormous variety of choices. The staff were friendly and helpful. Would highly...

My stay, overall, was excellent. I had a bit of trouble getting connected to the right person who would let me in the building, but once I met her, she was extremely gracious and helpful-even with deciphering a matter connected to my mobile phone. Check-out was fairly straightforward, though there was no mention of where to take the sheets and towels. I spotted the bin downstairs, and so will know for next time. Also, there is no way to safely place the room key, when Reception is closed. ...

Delightful stays. First I stayed several nights in a hotel cell room, small but adequate and comfortable. Wonderful breakfast buffet and delicious evening dining outside. Slept great once I took comforter out of duvet covering so did not overheat. Easy walk to bus stop and to train/subway station. Perfect location for getting on the water (via the canal) to standup paddle board (I travel with my own compact inflatable) around the islands and lake but also kayak rental close by. Couple...

Skanstulls Boutique Hostel

Central Stockholm

The Location is great, is not in the City Centre but you can walk there in 45 minutes or so (and get to see some awesomeness from Stockhom) or take the Metro (100 metres from the hostel) and be there in less than 20 minutes. The staff was really nice, I got there too early and tired and since my bed was already empty they let me do an early check-in. The beds are comfortable and despite having to dal with somebody elses snorrs or packing/unpacking noises you get a good rest. The kitchen is...
