"The Metropolis hotel located midtown Athens with an unbeatable view of the Acropolis was a great choice for our short stay. It was within walking distance of everything Athens had to offer and located across the street from a park. The church bells ringing offered a quaint European tone and the view from the rooftop was priceless."

"Friendly staff Lovely modern, big and clean room, though no door on the shower left the bathroom floor wet every time we showered. Good breakfast. The blanket was thin, but the aircon heating/cooling worked perfectly. Only downside is that the area is rather dicey unfortunately. We certainly did not feel comfortable going out after dark, and even during daylight there were a lot of homeless people in the neighbourhood."

"The pictures on for the hotel are taken some time ago, the beds were hard, air con noisy, switch off and it’s too hot, noise from other rooms, no dining other than room service which was not great. Good shops and restaurants locally which was a saving grace"

"Bonjour nous avons aimé l'hôtel, très près de Plaka, 12 minutes à pied de l'agora et 22 minutes à pieds de l'acropole. Très propre. Lit très confortable. Personnel vraiment gentil. Bon petit déjeuner européen. On peut voir l'acropole sur le toit. Pour le prix c'est vraiment excellent. Ce n'est pas décoré en hotel 5 étoiles mais tout était parfait. Le seul point négatif était la petite salle de bain et la mini douche."

"This is an older hotel and lacked some of the facilities of modern hotels but then it has charm and character that the modern ones wouldn't. It was clean and the staff were helpful. It was very convenient for the railway for me as I was staying overnight between the airport and port (in both directions). For such a central location, it was fantastic value for money. "

"A hotel close to the port. Has obviously had a recent refurbishment and has a modern look. Nice big balcony. Nice stay reception staff very welcoming and friendly. As I’m guessing this is an old building refurbished it has a very nice new lift but is in the traditional shaft so is very small no problem for one person maybe 2 at most could be a problem if anyone has problems with lifts but there is a nice big bright stairs as well. Very pleasant and relaxing stay "
