"After 16 hours of travel Arrived Jamaica night time to be told by accommodation caretaker "no electricity so best not to come". Drove around in taxi trying to find alternative accommodation for the night. Next morning went to view accommodation, NOTHING LIKE DESCRIPTION. Horrible. We expected 1 bedroom entire apartment, instead poky room and share amenities, a guest already there. Looks like building site in front, ugly shack for view. Church almost adjoining which apparently gets really loud....

"We arrived the first night and didn’t you no where to go due to there being no sign on the property. The gate had a lock on it and a beware of dog sign on it, so we had to go pay to stay somewhere else the first night. When we asked the for owner for compensation she told us to go through Expedia and she wasn’t wiling to do anything. There were no housekeeping services provided, there were no towels, soap and the sheets were filthy. We had to ask for toilet paper. The worst part is that the room...

Church almost adjoining which apparently gets really loud. Taxi driver refused to leave us there, we had no intention of staying there anyway. Not a nice area at all. So, again drove round looking for suitable accommodation for 17 nights. Very disappointed and scary. Since fully reimbursed."
