"We had a great stay here. The staff are very friendly, room was clean, and it is close to Old Town. There were a few homeless wandering around at night by the street but none in the lot or by the rooms. The Mexican restaurant that is in the same parking lot was really good too. We did use the laundry facility and several machines were out of order but we were able to wash and dry with no issues. "

"Located in an area with high poverty, so expect to see desperate poor/unhoused folks. The hotel is reasonable priced & clean. I stay hear every time I come to Sacramento and I have always had a pleasant stay."

"The rooms are clean enough. The bed was old. The carbon monoxide detector was missing with wires hanging from the ceiling. The staff was mostly pleasant but clueless about the area for tourists. They each said, “I’m not from here. I don’t know.” This is when a person asked what was there to see around this area. Also, the cooks didn’t wear gloves, and constantly left the food prep area and did not wash their hands when returning. That’s pretty nasty. "

The corridors on the ground floor looked awful, but to be fair the motel seems to be prepping for a major paint job, which will most likely improve the eye appeal overall. The front desk clerk was not exactly rude, but he made no effort to be welcoming or cordial. The "breakfast" was a joke. I don't know why they even bother to offer it.
