"Quick, cheap and simple hotel with free on-site parking. Easy 20 minute walk into Puy-en-Velay. Hotel staff friendly and helpful. Only minor issue was the lack of air conditioning but the hotel were aware of this and looking to add it in the future."

"I stayed in both the regular and the budget Ibis in Le Puy en Velay. Both were great. For the savings, I would probably stay in the budget Ibis again because it had everything I needed and it was right across from the train station. Both are convenient for touring the town or beginning the Camino."

There was a pleasant bar where the locals were very friendly but ignored the EU rules about indoor smoking. We had a pleasant reasonably priced meal in the restaurant. The room was a good size with a pretty balcony and large bathroom and separate toilet. We ate in the restaurant which provided good food and excellent value. The staff were friendly and efficient."
