It's a basic formula and you know what you're getting - but this property was well located in Salamanca, staff were helpful (we checked in at 3am due to flight delays in Madrid), breakfast buffet was very good with lots of choice and it was extremely reasonably priced. "Got off the ferry at Santander and processed in 1 hour. Drove down the autovia and got to Carolina for about 6 pm. booked in within 10 minutes and into our room overlooking pool. down for a couple of beers then a great meal. great value, great food."

"The hotel Castellano is located at the city centre and you can go by foot from there to the Salamanca University attractions. There you have, even, an interesting annex, part of the hotel, like a pub, where you can sit at the tables around the sidewalk and watch the moviment at Portugal Avenue. "This hostal is part of a chain that is run by one person. Most of the interaction is done by phone. He always answers the phone when needed though. The rooms are pretty small with barely any space left to move around. They are enough for one person but not two."

"We were pleasantly surprised at the size of the room. The street was noisy but we closed the windows, turned on the fan (provided) snd turned on the air conditioner and the noise was barely audible. It is a good area though and we were able to walk to shops and restaurants. It was clean. We enjoyed our stay."
