"I went cheap since I only stayed in Bastia for a night…too cheap. The “room” is a closet with a bathroom. There is barely space to put the luggage down and open it. The shower was so small that I couldn’t spread my elbows while washing my hair. AND the room is on the 3rd floor with no elevator. There are not many noticeable restaurants close to the hotel, so guests need to rely more on the hotel restaurant, which serve passable food. I will definitely invest a bit more for a better hotel next...

"Don't let appearances fool you. This is a wonderful little gem off the beaten path. The Hotel is very clean and the food is delicious (the husband/ owner is the chef). The staff couldn't be nicer and goes above and beyond to accommodate their guests. The owners, Pascale and Henri are very sweet, as is Nina who takes care of the breakfast and other things around the property. The pool is big and well maintained. "Reluctant to write a negative review but, sadly, this motel merits a poor rating. A kind description would be rustic, an honest appraisal would be shoddy and poorly maintained. The room smelt musty, there was mould around cracked tiles in the bathroom, the windows had that hazy look of ingrained dust and grime, the bedroom carpet was ancient & stained and the fabric on the corners of the bed was ripped. To make matters worse, the room door frames were warped so the doors had to be slammed to...

"We stayed one night and arrived at 9pm, straight off the ferry (it’s quite a drive). When we arrived the restaurant was closed, but there was a super pizza restaurant about 5kms away… great find, fun owner!! The refuge has great views and it’s a must in terms of driving in and out to the south. Put it on your list!!"
