"Having not been to The Lake District for many years and now a homeowner, i am cost conscious, but wanting a great experience. Welcomed by a very friendly member of hotel staff. Shown to room which was "small but perfectly formed!" Bed was very comfortable but curtains need to be fixed properly to the eyes. They didnt close properly either. Shower very good and nice hot temperature. Pretty good views. I didnt pay for breakfast or dinner as i was seeing a cousin of mine but they both looked and...

"Lovely stay. Staff all very welcoming. Food lovely with extensive buffet breakfast and dinner was also very nice. Rooms spacious but could have maybe done with some updating. Nice balcony which we couldnt use unfortunately due to the weather.Lovely views of lake windemere from the grounds. We enjoyed the pool and were lucky enough to have it to ourselves every day. Location good but did mean we had to drive. Didnt struggle to get parked at the hotel."

"Gave 3 star to staff and service because we didn’t see anyone so we helped ourself to clean towels from “staff only” storage room and took the bedroom waste out ourselves."

"Our stay was lovely couldn’t fault it apart from the weather. Our room was on the top floor and with the weather being quite hot the room was so warm on a night time. The room could do with a fan or even air con as there is only one small window that opens. Apart from that the room its self was perfect clean, tidy and in a perfect location situated in the middle of the town and lake both a 10 minute walk each way. Thanks again! "
