"Entering the warm friendly reception area, you are greeted with smiles and laughter, and the staff are so friendly and chatty, making check in a breeze. "Very old, charming building that has seen better days and could do with some updating and new decoration. However was clean and was very close to local shops and places to eat. Also have to say the Receptionist, Rachel was fabulous and was very helpful and had great local knowledge which helped when planning our stay. There is a small car park for the hotel for which you pay £6 per day and this needs to be booked directly with the hotel as spaces are limited. Would certainly go back for...

"Right in the center of town and an easy walk from the train station in Barnstaple. Everything is right there in walking distance and it's all just as funky and charming and welcoming as can be! The hotel's foundation has sunken a bit (or more in some places) which is charming but a little disconcerting if you're thinking you might fall out of bed!"

"Stayed sunday night so restaurant not open for evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. Room was clean bright and fresh great view of railway and the sea. Bathroom was clean and fresh with a powerful hot shower. Managed to park on site . Would definitely recommend this hotel and will stay again. All the staff we spoke to were friendly and helpful. "
