"This was more like a hotel room in America meaning it was bigger. It did not have a fridge or microwave but did offer a continental breakfast. The room and bathroom was clean. We'd stay again."

World of Wedgewood and the Wedgewood Museum were well worth another taxi ride, and Hanley Park (large and beautiful) was a short walk away. Shower was lukewarm, not sure if that’s because we stayed in a handicapped room. Otherwise perfect!"

"We had a two night stay here in May. Firstly I’d like to say that the staff were superb especially Lucy who seemed to be there every second of every day looking after us checking in, out, breakfast and dinner. Thank you so much. The rooms were clean and the beds were big snd very comfortable. Excellent location in a lovejy area with shops a 2 minute walk away and the station 5 mins away to get into central Manchester. Overall a really nice stay in a nice clean hotel."

"Perfectly clean and functional. Sofa bed for my second child wasn't up to scratch and the quality of all the mattresses was pretty poor to be honest. Also the heating was on (in June) and the room was BOILING. Man working at reception couldn't have done enough for us though. Lovely service. "

"If you can look past the area that the 'George Hotel' is in then you have a beautiful old building with a very interesting history behind it. Yes the property could do with some investment and renovation, but the building inside was clean and the rooms were clean. The staff were all very friendly. In its hayday this would have been a wonderful building"

"We booked the hotel for attending a wedding nearby. The hotel restaurant was an Indian, which would have been perfect for me, but unfortunately did not suit my wife. However, Stone is a really nice town, with plenty of alternative choices to dine. The staff were really friendly and helpful, and setting up for our un-booked breakfast was nice of them. It was a perfect location for us, right in the centre of town, with ample (free) parking. "
