I was advised I'd be staying in an annexe over the road, often being put in a separate building means a run down place for budget visitors but I was amazed!! "The location of this Hotel is good for enjoying lake Balaton. There is a very expensive and a free beachfront that is in walk-in distance. The breakfast and the dinner is served in the hotel’s restaurant and both the food and the service is good. We had a second floor room without elevator. "The young lady at the reception desk was superb in her service. The restaurant was very adequate. A Service charge is added to the price of the meals, something I find a bit offensive because it assumes too much, I would leave more for a tip but the management made that decision for me. The rooms are clean and new. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast is expensive but also adequate. The service is friendly. The coffee is great. We will stay there again."

"The main attraction here is the location, next to the Balaton. People tend to stay little time in the hotel. This place is good enough for sleeping and having a shower. There is no breakfast, although I was directed to a nearby hotel for it, so kinda solvable. The room costs the same money as a super clean apartment next to the Adriatic Sea with kitchen and A/C. Luxury in a quiet but central location
"Great location, no more than 15 mins walk from the station, just 5 into the historic centre. I was advised I'd be staying in an annexe over the road, often being put in a separate building means a run down place for budget visitors but I was amazed!! This was like a suite with giant comfortable bedroom and attached bathroom & kitchenette looking out onto a garden. The front desk staff staff were so helpful with directions & it was like having my own apartment for the stay. It was out of season which maybe why I got an upgrade/discount rate."
