"Booked this place as a backup, just in case I couldn't make it to the ferry in time. The staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help bridge the language barrier. (I don't know much French, they didn't know much English). Once everything was understood, my friend and I took the keys are were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the rooms. Coffee making facilities, air conditioning and a king size bed. There are a number of eateries and even a cinema just around the corner from the hotel and it's only a couple of minutes walk from the train station. For a last minute stay, there was nothing more I could have asked for. "

After a long and busy day at the sights and museum in Caen, we arrived about 7 pm expecting to have a nice dinner and a glass of wine. Unfortunately the dining room was closed because they were hosting a bus tour group. Ugh!! rather disappointing - the staff suggested several local restaurants or take out. So we decided on a pizza take-out and when I went back down to the desk to have them help me order, the kitchen staff took pity on a little old lady and made us a very nice meal with salad - and a big glass of wine. That was a sign of "above and beyond" and very much appreciated. A suggestion would be have a portion of the restaurant partitioned off for guests who are not on a tour - even just a portable type screen. Interestingly enough we were from Canada and we could hear the people in the tour group talking about "back home in Canada" The dining room is beautifully appointed - outdoor patio looked very inviting - just that the weather didn't cooperate. Liked the parking lot - felt safe leaving the car overnight - rather than in a public parking lot or on the street. Very quiet - had a great sleep Would definitely stay again - and recommend it to others. "
