"I had the most wonderful stay before and after the Choquequirao trek, and in fact the stay before was so wonderful and hospitable that I completed the trek a day early so I could return for one more night. Last year i did an intership at 'Oye LENA'. Oye LENA consists of three educational projects: – Oye NENE, afterschool nursery education, – Oye INTI WARMA, education for children with a disability, – Oye YACHAQ, a partnership with the local population to work towards better education. Besides the wonderful kids I had to work with, I was really lucky to wake up everyday with this view! They will be seeing me there again, for sure!

The hosts are so sweet and thoughtful, and Katherine went above and beyond when I returned from the trek a bit sick, offering me honey for my tea from their personal kitchen area. The hammock is the perfect place to relax, as are the terraces or patios available outside every room. The rooms are cozy and spacious, and the animals on the grounds are the icing on the cake if you, like me, enjoy petting a bunny on occasion! "
