We booked our room on the hotel website and although we were of local taxes, we we surprised at check-in that a refundable security deposit is a standard requirement! "The hotel itself is good, nothing super concerning.. breakfast had lots of options, room is small but clean. I was just incredibly frustrated with the rudest shutter driver I have ever met. He literally mistreated everyone that was on the shuttle, drove like a complete psycho like if he was in a race, did not stop for people when they needed to either get in or get out. The second day we had a normal driver, thank goodness! "

"Young lady at check in was excellent, on entering our room I drew back the window curtain and was covered in dust and fluff from the back of the curtain....... The bathroom and the rest of the room were fine. Breakfast was plentiful, scrambled egg, bread, pastries, conserves, fresh fruit and yogurts. We had dinner the first night, it was sufficient. Comfortable bed and air conditioning in the room. Would I stay there again, yes."

"Excellent stay in transit southwards, just south of Paris. For us, a sensible distance to drive from Calais. Unfortunately for us at this time, there was one of those infernal French farmer strikes, totally blocking the A1 autoroute, and all entries into Paris! Delay upon delay! Even greater reason not to attempt to drive too far south."
