" The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. The service was excellent. Lumbini was filled with smoke from surrounding agricultural burns., which we were told were typical in November and December. The smoke was so bad our flight out was delayed 3 hours because the airport closed for poor visibility and smoke marred the view of the Temple,...

"This resort was an oasis. The facility was immaculate and the staff were attentive and professional. The pool was at a perfect temperature. Their on-site dining was delicious; we recommend trying the Nepalese specials like Mustang Aloo. We arranged a tour to Lumbrini to visit the temples and it was a 40 minute drive with a very helpful guide. "

"Descent guesthouse in a good location near enough to everything but not loud and crazy. Within a 15 minute walk to bus station, 5-10 minutes away from food choices and banks etc. For this price hotels would be in worse shape so better to stay here. Shared shower and bathroom which were never cleaned i dont think. "

"The property manger Sameer made our trip so comfortable and pleasant . He went out of his way to provide us excellent information about nearby places to visit and have food . The Eternal Peace Lamp was lit on 1 November 1986 by Prince Gyanendra to commemorate the International Year of Peace. The flame was brought from the UN in NY, NY, USA. It sits at the beginning of the park-like area known as the Lumbini Development Zone next to the Maya Devi Temple.
