Transport via bus was excellent from nearby the hotel into Stavanger centre which was good as there are not many dining or local shopping opportunities in the area. A very enjoyable event accompanied by traditional music (a visiting Scottish band), bagpipes, whisky, haggis and poetry. "We really looked forward to staying here but our stay was absolutely ruined by smokers next door. We paid extra for a harbour view which was lovely but we could not open the window or sit on the shared balcony because our room was next to a smoking room and the guests there exercised their right to smoke. When we mentioned this in the morning the customer service was appalling with the receptionist shrugging her shoulders and asking what she could do. Well; for one thing not have a smoking room...

From booking us in promptly to going out of her way to make sure we had breakfast packs (as we had to leave before the breakfast start time). She even helped us arrange a taxi when our pre-booked one cancelled. She made our short and sweet stay, stress-free! The hotel and room were of high standard and our room was sufficient for a family of 5. Highly recommend!!!"
