"Fantastic place to stay within easy walking distance to rail service's and the river. Room was very spacious with small kitchen and plenty of places to hang clothes. Bed was very comfortable only down side was the plug in the wah hand basin once pushed down to fill sink with water to shave, i didnt know you had to go under the sink and fiddle about with rod's to push the plug back up to allow water to drain away. But restaurants/bars area extremely slow service and plenty of them not managed at all, walking around in different sections of huge restaurants area but not really doing anything. Need good hospitality management and clear instructions for staff. Food average, if you finally can place order. "

"Wonderful time in Aachen, in no small part due to Hotel am Dom. Very friendly and attentive staff. Room was nice and clean. Water pressure made showering pleasant. Quiet and relaxing time. Only problem is that the parking situation is not very clear. I believe the hotel lot is the underground section of the car park, but I parked in the upper floor and had difficulty getting out. "My room was cold and austere. I read some reviews that complained about this. Of course, that is the historic setting for this hotel. It was a Catholic seminary and boarding school. So cold and austere is what it was supposed to be. If you were looking for room service and a full spa, this will not be the place for you. With that said, the bed was comfortable. My room was clean. The staff was friendly. The surroundings were lovely. And there is a mystique about staying in a historic building...
