"The staff was amazing. We had to leave very early in the morning and would not be able to enjoy the breakfast. They left a note on our door saying that they put a breakfast in the fridge at the reception desk which we found and enjoyed every bite. This was so thoughtful and totally made our stay so enjoyable. "The place is run by enthusiasts, motivated by the architectural significance of the 60s hydro-electric project. If that rings your bell, go for it. If not, think twice. The food is good and honest, I enjoyed the local trout for dinner and hand smoked salmon for breakfast (you can tell it's the real deal because there's the odd bone in, a machine wouldn't miss that). Apart from the food, view, nature, history, architecture and some pool access I didn't use, there isn't much else. No disco, no 24...
