"We enjoyed our stay at Shantaa. What stood out was the expansive area with the villas strategically located for privacy, providing a sense of open space with beautiful views of the sea. Enjoyed the lap pool in the mornings. The restaurant sat atop a hill and during this season few people were there. Suggest staying with the Thai food options, as the Western food was limited and did not compare to the quality of the Thai food. Staff friendly and very accommodating. Adding a spa to the resort...

"We stayed at the Me Dee resort for 4 nights in early January in Lodge D16. The Lodge was mediocre. It was clean and the AC was good. The mini fridge is helpful and the beds were comfy. It lacked storage space and was located next to the road, which can be noisy. The shower was absolutely rubbish (terrible pressure), and the lighting in the Bathroom was poor. "Beautiful location right on the beach. Clean rooms and extremely helpful staff. They helped me rent a scooter when we checked in and they delivered it within 5 minutes. Location is across the street from a 7-11 and a nice steakhouse and other hotels right nearby that were all fun and the area was very nice. Definitely happy I chose this hotel for my stay...we liked it so much we stayed an extra day to relax and enjoy =)"
