"Very pleasant small room with a lovely big 4 poster bed. Bathroom coukd do with sone tlc but shower and towels were excellent. Our room overlooked the beer garden but it soon quietened down and was then very quiet all night. Rooms are above a nice pub in a gloriously wonky old building"

"Arrived late afternoon and were greeted by a ni e young lady. Quickly shown to room. She even carried our bags for us. A spotless room, nicely decorated with lovely walk on shower. Comfortable beds with fresh clean linen and choice of towels. We enjoyed a lovely evening meal at competitive prices followed. A couple of well presented and tasty trad ales finished the night. "Comfortable, clean and nicely decorated. Good food available in the evening and good selection of cereals, cheese, pastries etc for breakfast. Expedia appeared to have messed up the booking but the hotel was flexible in accommodating us and finding a room."

"This is a nice comfy hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast, which was cooked really nice . The staff are lovely, helpful and friendly. It maybe a little old fashioned but it was a really nice and comfortable along with being good value for money, and we will definitely be back."

"Stayed for 3 nights, hotel is old but clean. Breakfast was nice, bar was nice. Car park got busy on the Friday, only space left was under a tree. Next morning the front left hand side and windscreen of my car was caked in bird mess, horrible thick black filth. I got a bucket of water from reception and was able to scrape the thick mess off my windscreen but had to wait until I got home to clean off the rest of the mess - went to a local handwash and had to pay a bit extra for the clean.
