"The property was flooded by the river in December. They are remaking all the gardens. The front desk people are terrible. They dont have information and are the opposite of a client service. The food is wonderful. It is an eco-hotel without running water in the toilets but that is part of the philosophy. Tryed to pay with the credit card online so I did not have to pay a surcharge, but the front desk had not updated the system so it could not be done and had to pay a surcharge."

"this was an amazing experience. The room and view of the ocean was spectacular. Pool and jacuzzi area next tot the bar was perfect. Restaurant/bar staff were very nice. the beach was so nice and best part...no vendors!!! "

<The sands felt endless and there was almost no other soul in sight… until we reached the 'lake', actually part of a river sharing a stretch of land with the sea. So cool and inviting that I jumped straight in. I didn’t even care about putting sunscreen on [a thing I’d start regretting that same evening, because one shouldn’t underestimate Colombian sun]. When a kayak was ‘delivered’ to me by the man renting it, I didn’t care about surfing anymore. I left the guys train and I started paddling as far as I could, all eyes and ears along the shores/banks.>

"The location is beautiful and the grounds are kept impeccable. You see how much staff they dedicate to keeping the grounds well maintained. A lot of hidden gems to be discovered simply wandering around the sprawling property of Maloka Barlovento/Casa Tayrona Los Naranjos from various pools to a tiki bar that has reggae music and salsa playing. It just an amazing property. Beds are comfortable, rooms are big and well decorated with a classy rustic appearance. Ten minutes from the Tayrona Park El Zaino entrance. Staff is all incredibly kind. Dinner offerings are great. My only critique is breakfast. The coffee was below average. You come to a country like Colombia you expect great coffee to be the standard. Breakfast have now shifted to quantity over quality. We stayed here in April 2021 and the breakfasts were smaller, but the quality was better. Bread was better, fruit was more flavorful. All being said, this is an absolutely gem of a place to stay. Absolutely gorgeous. You won’t want to leave!"
