"The staff were friendly, the location was excellent, and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was surprisingly varied and much better than expected.
The main downsides were that the shower drained very slowly and the soundproofing was quite poor. When the guests upstairs arrived around 11 p.m., we could clearly hear them talking and unpacking their luggage. Also the vibration from the small fridge was annoying.
I had read previous reviews mentioning the noise from passing trains....
"We were the only foreign tourists (that we knew of) at the hotel and were treated like locals. It was a very pleasant experience. The location of Hotel LaPergola is PERFECT! A ten minute walk to the central piazza and some amazing food and gelato. The room was clean, well prepared, and spacious.
We walked from the train station to the hotel, a little difficult because of the cobble stone streets, but would do it over and over again for the kind staff, great views, location, and delicious...
"The property was very nice but a bit hard to locate by car. The staff was very nice and accommodating as we arrived late due to getting lost and they kept the restaurant open for us so we could have dinner."
